AL JAMIA PARTNERING WITH INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY MALAYSIA, MOU SIGNED |
Kuala Lumpur: Al Jamia Al Islamiya, Santhapuram and the world renowned International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on collaboration in academic, research fields and exchange programmes. Mr. Abdullah Manham, Rector of Al Jamia and Prof. Abdelaziz Berghout, Deputy Rector of IIUM signed for their respective universities following an elaborate deliberation in the esteemed presence of Dr. Abdussalam Ahmed, Vice President, Al Jamia Al Islamiya and Zaleha Kamaruddin, Rector, IIUM. Al Jamia delegates travelled to Kuala Lumpur on an invitation from the IIUM. Through this MoU, the two parties will collaborate on a number of activities. Commenting on the MoU, Dr. Abdussalam Ahmed said “it will, insha Allah, go a long way in fostering ties with both the institutions exploring various avenues of mutual interest’’. Apart from Al Jamia delegates, Dr. Hamidon Abd. Hamid, director of international cooperation and exchange office, Dr. Majdi Hj. Ibrahim, head of department of Arabic Language and Literature, Dr. Ahmed Basri Bin Ibrahim, head of department of Fiqh & Usul al Fiqh, Dr. Mohd Shah Jani, head of department of Quran and Sunnah Studies, Prof. Thameem Ushama, head of Usul al Din & Comparative Religion, Prof. Md. Tahir Azhar, deputy rector (Academic & Planning), Prof. Nik Ahmed Kamal Nik Mahmod, deputy rector (Student Affairs) also attended in the MoU signing ceremony.
